Kindbody - Swansea

We are so grateful for Dr. Mackenzie Purdy and the rest of the fabulous staff at Kindbody. They were wonderful as they guided my husband and I through the process and helped us bring home our miracle baby. Our fertility journey started many years ago, in and out of countless specialty offices. We were referred to Kindbody by a friend and were able to graduate after a little over a year.

Not many people leave reviews, mainly when its a terrible experience. But I wanted to leave a review about a very positive and wonderful experience we had at Kindbody. My wife and I tried another fertility clinic in Missouri first and had the worst experience which left us very defeated. We had four failed rounds of IUI, our coordinator had no bedside manner and very poor communication. We decided to switch to another clinic and after doing our research, we landed on Kindbody. We were linked up with Dr. Klenov and she was just what we needed. She listened. She understood. She was kind and caring. After meeting with other staff at Kindbody, we felt the same way about them as well. Everyone was so welcoming. We did one round of IVF and had a beautiful baby boy. We did all of our ultrasounds and blood draws at Swansea and traveled to their St. Louis location for all of the big stuff. I cannot say enough good things about Kindbody. You will not be disappointed!

We have had the most amazing experience. From day one, we were met with smiling faces and kind words. If I ever had a question or anxiety about anything, they were more than helpful at making me feel at ease. Every step of the way Dr.Klenov was amazing to work with, I have now recommend friends of mine to take the step with Kindbody, I cant express how blessed and thankful we are that you all helped complete our family.

Amazing staff! The office is quaint, quiet, and they get me in and out so fast! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. They make me feel very comfortable! Couldnt recommend enough!

I honestly have had the worst experience with Kindbody Swansea and do not recommend it to anyone. I mean this in all seriousness, it is a IVF mill. Trying to speak with your actual office is pretty much impossible, and once you do get to them, half the time they are rude and seem put off that you reached them. Their multiple portals are horrible to navigate. Their billing department is an absolute nightmare. I first was told all of my services would be covered by my spouses insurance. Then I was told I would need to put down a $3000.00 deposit. Then I was told they made a mistake and they actually only need an $800.00 deposit. So we went from free to $800.00. I was told the genetic testing would be covered as well but of course, it was not. Now, 8 months later, I just received a $127.00 bill for services from September of 2023 after being told in December by the office in Swansea that I do not owe anything further. I’m now working with billing to figure out what the charges are for since I have not received an actual bill or statement in the mail. It is completely unacceptable. They do not care about getting to the bottom of your fertility problems. It’s a mill. If you are at the point already where IVF is your only option and you have money to burn, maybe this place is for you, but if you want doctors that actually listen to your experience and create a plan that is tailored to your specific needs, I urge you, go elsewhere.

Can’t say enough great things about this facility! The nurses and staff were all AMAZING. My husband and I did IVF and they really took such great care of us. Answered any and all questions we had. Our first attempt had failed and they were all so supportive. 1st attempts are not always a success so we went in for our second transfer and that little embryo stuck! I’m now 14 weeks pregnant with a baby boyyyy. The process was mentally and emotionally hard, but the staff were always there to talk through everything with us. We are so happy with our experience and over the moon to be pregnant with our little miracle baby. Thank you KindBody!

The Swansea ladies here have been like a family to my husband and I. They have been so sweet to us and we could not be more thankful for them!

I just have to say I LOVE Kindbody in Swansea, IL. The front desk staff is so kind and amazing, the ladies who do the labs are so kind and patient, the ultrasound techs are very informative and make you very comfortable, and my Dr is amazing!! Cant forget about the amazing nursing team either!! Im so happy I made the switch and I recommend everyone to this place!!!!

This entire process can be overwhelming but the entire staff at Swansea has been incredible. Lisa and Rachel have made the frequent labs a breeze and Lindsey and Rosamar have answered my endless questions during every ultrasound. Anytime I have had to move or reschedule an appointment Christine makes it so simple!! And I can not say enough about my nurse Abby. She answers all my questions no matter how crazy they may be. I would recommend Kindbody over and over!

Staff was great from front desk back.The lab ladies were great at easing anxiety before bloodwork with their camaraderie.The nurses doing ultrasound and saline test made it as smooth and easy of procedure as possible.

All Staff, Techs, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Doctors are excellent!!!! Everyone I was in contact with treated me and my partner with respect and gave so much encouragement. They were willing to work with me with scheduling since I was out of town, always explained next steps thoroughly, and gave updates regularly. I would definitely recommend this company

Heed the warnings of others regarding insurance. Absolutely terrible insurance billing and administrative procedures. Poor communication to add on top of that. All this combined adds unnecessary stress, which is definitely not needed when seeking these types of services.We are now being threatened with collections for services rendered 5-6 months ago. We were told by the administrative staff and Dr. Cooper during our last meeting they would take care of the proper insurance billing, for which we had appropriate referral for from our insurance company. What is the icing on this is that they had properly coded and billed our insurance company previously, but somehow have messed up the last round of billing. We have communication throughout this entire process assuring us it would be taken care of, but that is clearly not the case and now they send us final statements before being sent to collections without so much as a phone call to follow up on the process.Dr. Cooper is great, but it is clear that Vios on the whole does not have their administrative processes down. We will not be returning and we will be notifying our primary care base to avoid referring patients to Vios in the future.Cant wait to see the post telling us to contact marketing to resolve our issue; clearly the wrong department to be handling insurance and billing issues.Do better.

After 5 phone calls, I never heard back from the office to schedule a pulse assessment that is required to be done durning a menstruation window. I had to wait a few extra weeks and after multiple attempts to schedule I was finally able too. I completed my pulse assessment only to receive news of a possible diagnosis that would greatly impact my fertility. I was told a nurse would call me back to schedule my next appointment to get my started with a treatment plan. After not hearing back for a week, I had to call again and learned that the doctor forgot to mark follow up with another appointment but we will put a rush on it. It is now 3 weeks later and I still have not heard anything. This company is completely unprofessional with their lack of timeliness and support towards their patients. I can not fathom trusting them to help with my fertility journey when they are unable to complete simple tasks. I would highly NOT recommend anyone who is struggling with fertility to waste their time with this company.

Dr. Amber Cooper is the absolute best doctor. She is kind, compassionate, and knowledgable. She makes you feel like you are the only patient. Lexi is her nurse is amazing too along with all of the other nurses, ultrasound techs, and lab techs.

My Nurse Alex is simply the best! She takes her time and is always available with good advice for my endless questions. The whole VIOS Team is Kind and understanding to their patients. When youre experiencing and going through the most stressful season of life, its priceless to have a good medical team supporting you.

I love Dr. Klenov and my nurse Mandy at the STL office. They always treat me with kindness. They are attentive and knowledgeable. This makes me feel comfortable and confident knowing they on my team!!

Dr. Cooper at Lindbergh recently did my egg retrieval and she and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing! Very patient, caring, informative, sympathetic, and kind. I love the doctors and nurses and everyone in between at Kindbody/Vios!

Update: a few years (and two sweet babies later) I still LOVE this place. Dr. Cooper is amazing, caring, compassionate, understanding, helpful…pretty much every positive adjective!! She helped my husband and I grow our family and did it without making me feel like I was being forced one way or another. She was always willing to listen to what I was interested in trying and never made me feel like I was out of control of my own fertility care. Years later ad still I give this place 5 stars :)I will update after my first appointment but Im certain my opinion wont change:I was at my wits end yesterday with trying to conceive and feeling desperate so I tried calling the number listed a few times to make an appointment but kept getting voicemail. So, I decided to drive the 25 minutes to the clinic to try and make an appointment there. When I arrived at the counter, the receptionist politely told me that unfortunately, I had to leave a message on the voicemail and the service they used to track intake would call me back and get my information. I was saddened and frustrated already and this news was not great but instead of leaving it at that, the receptionist kindly suggested that maybe she could try calling and she could get me started with some paperwork. She was able to get through to the answering service for me and I was able to fill out a couple of forms to get things rolling before the appointment I was able to make. Im not saying this because I suggest you go to the office to make your appointment to avoid having to leave a voicemail (because If I had known that was necessary I would have just left the voicemail in the first place and stayed at home) but what I am saying is that I am so very impressed with the help I received when I went there, desperate and hurting, and I wasnt turned away when that would have been the easy thing for them to do. Definitely have high hopes for this business already!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Cooper since 2017 and the VIOS team feels more like family now! Since starting with VIOS I’ve felt completely seen, heard, and never treated like just a number or case on the doctor’s desk. Dr. Cooper developed an individualized, innovative protocol and treatment plan that brought our son to us in 2018. We are on our journey for baby #2 now and know we are in the best hands with the entire team at VIOS Fertility!

While patients here we had run into more than one bump in the road with rude employees and miscommunication and files/orders not being followed as necessary. They had replaced several employees by the end of our treatment and were MUCH better with communication and scheduling once their newer employees were trained. We are very thankful for Dr. cooper and the success of our first cycle!

Dr. Cooper is an amazing doctor she helped up have our son Elijah.

I absolutely couldn’t of asked for a better place to complete our fertility journey. We are currently in our two week wait after an FET. Mandy my nurse has been super helpful and Dr.Klenov and Dr.Purdy have only made the best decisions when it came to our next steps and every choice that needed made on our journey. I’ll never go to another fertility clinic. We have 4 embryos remaining and will be coming back in the future to use them 😊 highly recommended!

Vios has been nothing short of amazing to me. Dr. Purdy is the most compassionate caring Doctor I have ever met in my life. Its like she makes it her personal goal to try to get a successful pregnancy. The staff are the most helpful people you will ever come across (Initial appointment, finance, front desk, US, blood work, you name it, they are great). This is my 3rd IVF clinic I have been to and I am so happy I have made the switch. They really truly care! The front desk staff are very welcoming. The US techs I have had are the nicest around and very informative. The nurses, Margo, Britt, Hailey and all the others have been beyond helpful with anything I have needed. In IVF you tend to call A LOT with questions and concerns, not one point in time has anyone made me feel like a bother. They all go above and beyond and are so accommodating. At Vios I dont just feel like a number. For the first time in all my time in infertility/IVF I finally feel like I have a chance at a family, and its literally all thanks to the wonderful people here. If you are thinking about making the switch or going into IVF I cant recommend this place enough! I would give them 100 stars if I could.

I have absolutely loved every single moment as a patient at VIOS. I frequented the Swansea, IL location and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. Going through infertility treatment is a very scary experience but having doctors nurses and other staff who become your cheerleaders makes the experience so much easier to handle! I have already recommended several friends who are seeking fertility services to seek out VIOS. I truthfully wish that they could see me through my entire pregnancy! Graduation day was such a bitter sweet day! I am so thankful for where I am but so sad to leave my amazing team behind!

This is outrageous and frustrating. So in brief, we scheduled an appointment a month ago, but just the day before we were told our insurances would not cover the very basic online consultation (not even in-person). Then, the insurance consultant said we had to pay $300 for this. By the way, this whole insurance drama occurred without even us starting anything...Then, on our appointment day today, we tried to open the online link but didnt work, and nobody even called us to about our meeting. Moreover, we called their office number just to have voice message saying that the office was closed. Totally unprofessional.I am sure Dr. Cooper might be a very good doctor, but it seems like some people in this place are untrained.So in the end, we just thought that we started with a huge billing drama, nobody communicated with us about our scheduled appointment, and at this point we simply believe this is not the place to go.

Update: Just received a bill from 14 months ago. Their billing department is a joke for a bill to come for the first time this late.Their COVID policy can be significantly improved as it is highly inefficient. I understand the need to be cautious but I was there for only a sample drop off. It took 20 minutes, which 15 minutes could have been avoided. I asked to speak to office manager and was told that the office manager was not there and would get in touch with me. It never happened as the lady working the desk had zero intention of having office manager reach out. Worst customer service ever.

After personally being involved in the process, I can sincerely say there no doctors more qualified to handle fertility issues other than Dr. Cooper, Dr. Zimmerman, and their staff. We did our research, Dr.Cooper is a board certified REI, & Dr.Zimmerman holds a high complexity lab director certification. The training and knowledge they have sets them apart from other clinics. Aside from their technical acumen, Dr. Cooper and Dr. Zimmerman are both so friendly and nice. I cant imagine someone asking more questions than myself, and they took the time to answer all of my questions with depth throughout the process. Our success rate was incredible!! We are so thankful to have found the talent and care of the people working in the Swansea Vios office! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Purdy is fantastic. The staff was always so nice and helpful at all my appointments. I ended up needing IVF and am currently 7months pregnant with our little girl. I highly recommend and would go again if we decide to try for a 2nd.

My nurse was awesome! So down to earth and explained everything. Made me very comfortable and not scared any more.

Dr. Purdy and the Swansea, IL team was great. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable! It never felt like we were a bother whenever we had questions.

They were awesome. My husband experienced vasovagal syncope for the first time while doing his blood draw, and they handle him amazing. I felt safe with them caring for him during what was a really scary time for us.

We LOVE Dr Cooper and I have given her contact info to anyone that asks!! She is so genuine and she truly cares about each couple and caters to them individually.

There is not enough acknowledgement of how common fertility issues are - and many times there is no specific reason or cause on either partner as to “why”. We are so thankful for the excellent experience we had with Vios Fertility Institute and Dr. Amber Cooper. It is not an easy (or unemotional) road and their staff (like Stacey Hicks and Lindsey Essenpreis) was always there for us - angels helping make dreams of a family come true.

We just started fertility testing/treatment w/ Vios and Dr. Rhee, but I have been blown away by the whole team and Dr. Rhee. They have been so kind, they explain everything so well and make you feel at ease. If you are exploring your fertility options I would 100% recommend Vios and Dr. Rhee!

Excessive lack of communication. They drop the ball repeatedly when handling insurance companies. And I have uncounted more than one rude individual. Just found out today that they cancelled our cycle because they they didnt send the proper prior authorizations to my insurance company. I was forced to either pay out of pocket or cancel my embryo transfer. I DO NOT RECCOMEND.Do not be fooled by the propaganda comment they posted below to appear like they are bettering themselves because they are not. I have spoken to district managers, financial advisors, insurance filers, I have names and career titles of people whom Ive spoken too for MONTHS. They have not changed a single thing regarding their office proceedures nor do they have new employees for their growing business. You will consistently be pushed off and off and off. Over a year of being a patient here and I am STILL waiting to transfer our first embryo for our FIRST IVF cycle...and was just told they have changed my plane to essentially wait an additional month without my knowledge or consent.. To say Im dissatisfied is the understatement of the century

They’re all very kind and do everything they can to ease the anxiety that comes with infertility. Haley and Dr. Purdy are both absolutely amazing. Currently pregnant thanks to them!

Vois fertility is has become a second home for me. I can count on their love and support throughout my fertility journey, which has been challenging but soon to become a joyous one. I love them and know they love me too....choose vois always 👏

Update: Their service has far from improved actually it did what I thought not possible and declined even more. Between telahealth apts that are 45 mins late and then getting a message about how they tried to call and you were not on zoom. It is a joke. There is no respect for patients time, money or desires. If your insurance allows it go elsewhere. There is enough stress in fertility treatment that the provider should not be adding to it.They fail to stay on top of what they need to do for patients then act like you inconvenience them when you call to verify. They only communicate via a portal not thru calls and are frustrating to deal with due to their untimelyness. Which in fertility timing is everything.

The swansea location is quick and convenient for those that live in southern illinois.

I wanna first thank thee whole entire team at kindbody for the love and care they have shown since I started at kindbody I wanna definitely thank Nurse Mandy and Dr Rhee for the care they have gave when I say no mare how many times I call how many questions I have I have never be a problem to her to help listen and do whatever she can to make sure my care is an beyond A1 I love this them as my own family and wanna tell them I Love and appreciate them so much With Love Danyail Molton

All the ladies have been so wonderful! From the front desk staff to the doctors! Couldnt ask for a better group of women! They are so understanding and compassionate!

Dr. Cooper is full on fantastic! The office is clean and the staff are on time and friendly. If I ever need to send anyone to a fertility specialist I will be sending them to Dr. Coopers office.

Wife has called and left multiple voicemails because no one will answer and never has gotten a callback. So after throwing a fit to me so long I’ve been calling and also nothing!

On more than once occasion I have been pushed off due to this companys gross negligence. Literally not 1 thing in our ivf cycle has gone as planned. I no longer feel as though I can trust them. Do not reccomend.

Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging. During my procedure my questions were asked and they made me feel validated and encouraged me during this journey
